The NSW Rail Museum is a multi-use site, which includes onsite catering for events and functions. No other venue can provide a back drop like the NSW Rail Museum.

Charter a heritage train
Why not hire a heritage train or arrange a group booking for your next social, community or corporate function?

Please note, charters requests for operation outside of Thirlmere and on the main line require at least six months notice and a minimum budget of $15,000.

Requests to operate at community events
The NSW Rail Museum occasionally partners with community groups and/or government agencies to operate heritage trains at community events across NSW. Such operations are highly dependent on location, network access and supporting infrastructure.
If you are an event organiser and would like to request a heritage train operation at a location within NSW, please email your proposal to:
